ABOUT ME
I served 10 amazing years as an active duty Air Traffic Controller in the U.S. Navy.
Yes, it can be a stressful job.
Yes, I left the military at the halfway mark to retirement.
It wasn't a decision I made lightly and I thought about it for years. But I now KNOW this is what I'm supposed to do "when I grow up". If there's one thing I had to learn in my decade in the military it was stress management. I don't sweat the small stuff anymore. Being frank, it's just not worth my energy. Everything will, in fact, be okay. Nothing is perfect, and that's totally fine. We just keep moving! I am so thankful and proud of my time in the military, without it I definitely would not have this business or be the person I am today.
I have yet to see a wedding go exactly to plan. And what makes or breaks those moments of uncertainty is the attitude of everyone affected. Are we stressed out over a timeline right now because last time I checked YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED! Miss me with all that stress, we're here to have a good freakin day. And I will accept nothing less from you, kay?
