Alexis and Jordan’s wedding day was the epitome of a slow paced and intentional wedding day filled with so much laughter, tears, and sweet moments. I love it when a wedding unfolds so smoothly and the couple has time to soak in every moment without being rushed around. So let’s talk about everything that made their day so special.
From Alexis’ shoes, florals, and hair piece, everything was so perfectly crafted and matched Alexis’ personality to a T. She is all about everything boho and earth tones, so you already know we were a perfect match! (Sorry Jordan hahaha) I had so much time to take photos of every little thing that you wouldn’t normally see highlighted in photos on a wedding day. Getting photos of your small details are so important, because if you lose your wedding invitations or your hairpiece breaks in a few years, you have the photos to preserve the memory.
Their pup, Ginger. She was the goodest girl the entire day. The wedding venue was amazing and they allow dogs to roam free throughout the entire day. Ginger got to run between the bride and groom’s suites and also run around and say hi to guests as they arrived. The bride and groom also hired a dog sitter through Furever and Furalways that was amazing and made sure Ginger was taken care of all day.
The venue. Camp Hidden Valley is a day camp turned wedding venue nestled in the woods in White Hall, Maryland. The absolute best part about the venue is that EVERYONE can stay there the night of the wedding. Guests included. When you have a wedding that’s a little bit secluded and alcohol involved, you have to think about providing safe lodging options for your guests. All of the guests were able to stay in cabins on the property and the bride and groom had access to their suites throughout the night. The ceremony was tucked away in the woods. Although it was a few minute walk to and from the ceremony, it was well worth it to have the privacy and shade of the trees surrounding you. Plus it was absolutely stunning!! Lastly, the cocktail hour area and reception hall were right next to each other. The reception space was beautifully designed with plenty of room for dancing all night!
