Fall Senior Portraits in Historic St. Mary’s City | Haven’s Session
Haven’s senior session was one of those perfect fall evenings that reminded me exactly why I love being a Southern Maryland senior photographer. She’s a Class of 2025 senior at Chopticon High School, and her shoot took place in the heart of St. Mary’s County—split between the stunning college campus at St. Mary’s College and the historic grounds near the old statehouse and visitor center.
Late October gave us the dreamiest golden hour light and peak foliage. The trees were glowing in shades of gold and orange, and the air had that crisp-but-not-too-cold vibe that makes fall sessions so magical. Haven brought such a calm, fun energy with her—she was relaxed, confident, and fully herself, which always leads to the best photos.
She booked my Luxe Senior Portrait Experience, which is a full girls’ day designed to make seniors feel like the most elevated, confident version of themselves. We started the afternoon in my studio in Southern Maryland where Haven had her hair and makeup done professionally, and then we headed out for her customized 2-3 hour shoot. One of my favorite parts? She picked a pink dress from my client closet—and it was absolutely perfect for her.

The whole shoot felt warm, creative, and so “Haven.” Her personality really shone through in the way she moved, smiled, and soaked up every moment. And that’s exactly the kind of experience I want every senior to have—laid-back, personality-driven, and intentionally crafted to highlight you.
